Linn-Benton Community College

Active In Achieving the Dream:

2012 - present
We anticipate that our participation in ATD will help us to create the strategies, programs, and policies that will assure the progression and success of a much greater percentage of those full-time, first-time students.
–Dr. Greg Hamann, President, Linn-Benton Community College

Who We Are

Each year, more than 22,000 students take at least one class at LBCC, with more than 7,000 attending full time, making LBCC one of the largest community colleges in Oregon. About 30 percent of local high school graduates come directly to LBCC after graduation. The average age of our full-time students is 23. LBCC was established in 1966 as a two-year public college and offered its first classes in the fall of 1967. Supported by tuition, local property taxes and state revenue, the college is directed by an elected, seven-member Board of Education. LBCC is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Northwest Association of Colleges and Universities.
