Designing Math Pathways: Building Institutional Capacity and Sustainability in Math Redesign
Achieving the Dream and the Dana Center are co-hosting a unique workshop that supports institutional teams to begin and/or deepen work to develop and implement math pathways at scale. The Dana Center’s work – guided by a vision in which mathematics pathways are the normative practice across all sectors of higher education – has expanded in recent years; this work now occurs in over a dozen states and in collaboration with several national organizations.
Our co-sponsored two-day workshop is designed for teams made up of math faculty, an administrator, and a representative of advising to work on a holistic approach to impact student success. During the convening, your team of 3-6 colleagues will engage in sessions designed for cross-functional institutional teams as well as breakout sessions focused on your specific roles and responsibilities (i.e., faculty, administrator, advisor). The workshop is highly interactive, with well documented success outcomes. Teams will leave with specific action steps to launch new efforts in math redesign or further your current work.
