Modular courses for developmental Math

Modular mathematics has been a successful alternative to tradiational lecture courses for developmental math students. Students work at their own pace through computerized instruction with an instructor serving as a facilitator.  Students may work through modules for subsequent courses if they complete all modules for the course they are currently enrolled in; thus, giving them a head start on the subsequent course, or completion of the subsequent course modules altogether (allowing completion of two levels of developmental coursework in one semester while enrolled in one course).  Students who do not complete all modules for the course receive a grade of in progress and re-enroll in the course the following semester, but are able to pick up where they left off during the prior semester without having to start the full course over.
