Supplemental Lab with College-Level English

Students who are just below meeting the state standard for placement in first-semester English composition are allowed to enroll in first-semester composition paired with a two-hour a week co-requisite Integrated Reading and Writing course that features low enrollment (15 max in the INRW  section, those 15 mixed in with 10 college-ready students in the English composition section).  The INRW also features a student tutor in the room along with the course instructor, and the tutor is available outside of class also (much like Supplemental Instruction). This co-req model eliminates a semester of developmental reading and writing.  This intervention was implemented at scale beginning in the fall 2016 semester.
