Nekeisia Booyer is Associate Director of Workforce Pathways Strategies at Achieving the Dream, Inc. In this role, Nekeisia is responsible for supporting ATD's workforce development initiatives and programs of study efforts, specifically, the advanced manufacturing grant-funded work. She manages all aspects of the project including direct contact with and assistance to the participating colleges, managing budgets and overseeing contracts. Nekeisia mobilizes ATD's capacity to support network colleges through technical assistance, learning events, and publications.
Prior to joining Achieving the Dream, Nekeisia was Program Officer with Senior Service America, Inc. (SSAI) where she managed 27 subgrantee projects budget of over $10.5 million in conjunction with supporting projects to achieve performance goals. She provided technical assistance with program policy and procedures to the SSAI Network of 80 subgrantees nationwide, coordinated project transitions of outgoing and incoming subgrantees, onboarding new project directors and conducted compliance and data validation reviews.
Previously, Nekeisia acquired over 15 years of workforce development and program management experience during her residency in Minnesota (Twin Cities & surrounding area). She worked with various nonprofit organizations and a local government agency, directing and managing programs from dislocated workers to TANF and multi-disciplinary specialty services team for low-income and disadvantaged communities to empower individuals and families to become self-sufficient.
Nekeisia earned a Master of Arts in Management from Saint Mary's University Minnesota (Twin Cities) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Service Administration from Metropolitan State University (St. Paul, MN).
