Lynn Reddy

Lynn Reddy is Director of Communications and Media Relations at Achieving the Dream. In this role, Lynn carries out ATD’s communications strategy and manages the organization’s media relations activities. She is responsible for ATD’s varied communications tools, Network communications, website and other digital communications. Lynn also provides communications support for ATD’s learning events, including DREAM and other institutes and workshops.

Lynn comes to ATD after a decade in the adult literacy field. She was the National Institute for Literacy’s first communications director and later served for four years as its deputy director.  In her communications work, she recommended communications priorities and strategies to the organization’s director, then created and implemented appropriate strategies. Her efforts led to the director’s testimony before a House subcommittee, speeches to national audiences, and visibility throughout the education community for disseminating clear, accessible information about reading research. She also led a rebranding process for NIFL that resulted in clearer messages about the agency’s role, a new logo, and other changes that improved visual consistency among the organization’s publications and website. Lynn often met with senior staff on Capitol Hill, in Federal agencies and national organizations as well as members of NIFL’s Presidentially-appointed Advisory Board, including presidents of community colleges and foundations, tenured faculty, and nationally recognized education researchers.

Lynn holds a Master’s in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Master’s in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University.
