Bobbie Frye, Ed. D.

Executive Director of Institutional Research at Central Piedmont Community College

Dr. Bobbie Frye is the Executive Director of Institutional Research at Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) and a Data Coach for Achieving the Dream. In her current role at CPCC, Bobbie leads the Institutional Research Department’s efforts to extract data from student information systems and employs various means of analyses in order to better understand and project enrollment trends, explain the conditions of current students, and facilitate data driven decision-making.

Bobbie joins ATD with almost 18 years of experience. In addition to her Executive Director role and work with ATD, she also serves as Senior Consultant for CPCC’s Center for Applied Research. As a Senior Consultant, Bobbie is creating and implementing an institutional research (IR) data-smart solution at community colleges across the country while also increasing the research capacity of IR offices. Her current research interests include the various applications of statistical techniques in intervention research and in the analyses of educational research topics specifically in the areas of underserved, low-income, and minority student populations.

Bobbie holds a doctorate in adult and community college education from North Carolina State University, and an M.A. and B.A. in sociology.
