Dr. George Gabriel currently is vice president of institutional effectiveness and student success initiatives and interim vice president of institutional advancement at Northern Virginia Community College, the largest institution of higher education in the Commonwealth of Virginia and one of America’s largest community colleges. Dr. Gabriel is also the chief administrator of the Mandatory Advising Project and chief administrator of the Developmental Redesign Project.
Current key projects Dr. Gabriel manages include college readiness evaluator through the Fairfax County Public School System, chief administrator of Achieving the Dream and core team leader, and enrollment planning and management. Dr. Gabriel served as the NCAT lead administrator including the Developmental Math Redesign Project. Other key projects included Win-Win Project college coordinator through Lumina Foundation. Dr. Gabriel also directed the College Supplemental Instruction Project, chaired the College Advancement Restructuring Team and the PeopleSoft Transition Team, and served as the SACS Accreditation Lead Administrator.
