About Bunker Hill Community College
Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is a comprehensive, multi-campus, urban institution with campuses in Boston's historic Charlestown neighborhood and in nearby Chelsea, Massachusetts. Founded in 1973, BHCC is the largest community college in Massachusetts and ranks among the 25 fastest growing public two-year colleges in the nation. More than 14,000 students enroll each semester in day, afternoon, evening, weekend, and web-based courses and programs. Sixty percent of BHCC students are people of color and the College enrolls 800 plus international students, making BHCC one of the most diverse institutions of higher education in New England. The College currently offers more than 100 certificate and degree programs that prepare students for better paying, more highly skilled jobs or transfer to four-year colleges.
