About Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University
Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University (LCOOU), a nonprofit Ojibwe tribally controlled community college located in Northwest Wisconsin, was founded in 1982 on the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe reservation in Northwest Wisconsin. In addition to serving students at the main campus located at Lac Courte Oreilles, the University currently serves four other Ojibwe communities at outreach sites in Northwest Wisconsin: Bad River, Lac du Flambeau, Red Cliff, and St. Croix.
The University serves both Native and non-Native students and offers a number of Associate and Bachelor Degrees as well as certificate and Masters programs to help prepare students for today's world while maintaining the cultural integrity of the Ojibwe people.
