About Northeast State Community College
Northeast State Community College's (NeSCC) is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate degrees and is an open-access, public, comprehensive two-year higher education institution with a mission to advance the lifelong educational development of the residents of the region and strengthen the economic and social/cultural aspects of the community. NeSCC focuses on its goals of access, student success, quality, and efficiency as it provides university parallel programs for transfer, career programs to prepare students to enter the workforce upon graduation, and continuing education and community service programs for professional growth and personal enrichment. During fall 2017, NeSCC - s Faculty/Student Ratio was 22 to 1 and NeSCC's 6,088 enrolled students were comprised of the following: 52 percent female, 56 percent full-time, 9 percent minority, and 26 percent enrolled in distance education courses.
