Executive Director, Network Engagement

Cindy Lopez is executive director for network engagement at Achieving the Dream and in this role oversees designated ATD Network services, including multiyear transformation initiatives for unique groups of colleges, including minority serving institutions and regional groups. She holds strategic responsibility for design and implementation of peer learning initiatives and creating networks within ATD’s Network. Previously she served as ATD’s director of Tribal College and University Programs. 

Cindy has served in higher education roles as an instructor, a director of a student program and as a program manager at the Association of Community College Trustees. She also worked as a consultant for the World Bank on a variety of social sector projects.  

During her tenure at the University of Oklahoma, Cindy created several new opportunities for students, including a study abroad program and an annual leadership conference for undergraduate business students

How has education changed your life/your family? 

My education has opened many doors both personally and professionally and has opened my mind, which I will never close! It has also empowered my students and children professionally and economically. The ripple effects are great.
