Dr. Jennifer Hernandez-Khan currently serves as the program manager for the Academic Preparation Program for Law Enforcement (APPLE Corps) at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. In her role, she provides students with leadership experiences, including scaffolded experiential opportunities across diverse New York City communities, throughout their undergraduate study. Her strengths include internal and external partnerships, including community-based organizations. Dr. Hernandez-Khan also served as an adjunct lecturer at Borough of Manhattan Community College and John Jay, where she taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Dr. Hernandez-Khan is passionate about helping others and, in 2010, founded an organization that provides useable medical equipment — that would otherwise end up in landfills — to nursing homes/senior centers in the Dominican Republic and Bangladesh. She continues to give back to different New York City communities directly and indirectly in her current role in APPLE Corps.
