How has education changed your life/your family?
Education has given me opportunities that my family and I crossed oceans for. Growing up as an immigrant, I watched my family leave everything behind, including family, friends, familiarity and a whole life they had built, for a chance at something better and to open more opportunities for me. Being the first to attend college in the United States at UC Davis hasn’t just opened doors, it has made every hard choice my family and I made worth it.
