Harvey Lincoln Student Scholars

ATD provides annual need-based scholarships to community college students who have persisted in their studies despite educational, personal, or financial obstacles.

The Harvey Lincoln Student Scholarship provides need-based scholarships for community college students who have persisted in their studies despite educational, personal, or financial obstacles and are attending Achieving the Dream institutions. The scholarship award is $2,000. The scholarship was awarded to two students in 2023: Briva Carla Jose Pinto of Hudson County Community College and Renee Eileen Rivera Restivo of Northwestern Connecticut Community College.

Nominations

Harvey Lincoln Student Scholarship nominations must be made by staff, faculty members, or administrators at current Achieving the Dream institutions, referred to below as the “college sponsor.” The college sponsor must submit the information about the student being nominated for the scholarship and submitting the student’s short scholarship essay.

Eligible Use of Scholarship Funds

Scholarship funds may be used to cover any cost related to attending a college in the Achieving the Dream Network or transferring from an Achieving the Dream community college to a four-year institution including tuition, fees, books, supplies, equipment, transportation, food, and other living expenses.
