The second interactive workshop will focus on the transformative potential of AI in K–college programs, specifically focusing on career and technical education (CTE) in dual enrollment. We will explore AI as an essential tool in preparing dually enrolled students for future careers.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the Current Landscape of Dual Enrollment and AI Possibilities: Participants will identify key challenges and opportunities for integrating AI into dual enrollment programs, with a focus on Career and Technical Education (CTE).
- Engage in a dialogue about the capacity of AI-Assisted Strategies to Address Equity: Participants will discuss how AI may be able to help expand interest and access to dual enrollment for racially minoritized and poverty-impacted students.
- Explore AI Tools for Supporting Dual Enrollment: Participants will evaluate various AI tools, including generative AI platforms, and learn how these tools can enhance their role as dual enrollment faculty, advisors, or administrators.
- Practice Using AI for Problem-Solving in Dual Enrollment Programs: Through interactive breakout sessions, participants will practice using AI to address common challenges in dual enrollment, such as advising gaps, matriculation challenges, and understanding pathways.
