About Blue Ridge Community College
Blue Ridge Community College is a member of the North Carolina Community College System. The College's mission is to "provide quality education and training opportunities that support student learning, enhance student advancement and success, and meet the workforce needs of our community." In keeping with the North Carolina Community College System's "open door policy," Blue Ridge Community College enrolls students who are 16 years or older or are high school graduates or equivalent. Blue Ridge Community College's service area includes Henderson and Transylvania Counties in Western North Carolina. More than 3,000 curriculum students are enrolled in more than 100 degree, diplomas, and certificate programs each year. Offerings include technical and occupational programs; the first two years of a four-year degree; a wide variety of corporate and continuing education courses for workforce preparation; and adult basic skills instruction that includes high school equivalency preparation and English as a Second Language courses.
