About Lemoore College
The first new community college built in California in this century, West Hills College Lemoore (WHCL) opened in 2002. The college earned full accreditation in 2005, and became the 109th community college in California. WHCL is part of a multi-college district that covers nearly 3,500 square miles of California - s rural Central Valley. WHCL is known for its creative and innovative strategies that align with its relentless pursuit of student success. On April 1,2024, West Hills Community College District has officially changed the names of its two cornerstone colleges: West Hills College Coalinga is now Coalinga College, and West Hills College Lemoore is now Lemoore College.
