How has education changed your life/your family?
Both of my parents were first-generation college students. My dad came to America as a refugee, and Education was their pathway from poverty to a middle-class life. My brother and I have leveraged our education to provide for our families and take on leadership roles in our community, where we work for equity, justice, and a brighter future for all. Today I have two daughters in high school, and we have worked to instill in them a love for learning and service to their communities.
