Dayna Anderson-Ward is the program specialist for meetings and learning events, reporting to the executive director of meetings and learning events. In this role she supports ATD by providing project management, logistical, and operational support for planning conferences, workshops, and other convenings with the goal of producing high-quality events. Dayna brings to this role more than 20 years of experience planning professional meetings and events.
Prior to joining ATD, Dayna served as a Conference Coordinator for the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) where she coordinated their National Conference of 12,000 attendees, Regional Conferences of 1,200 attendees and managed the coordination of 25 meetings each year. In this role, she worked with science educators, astronauts and professionals committed to best practices in science teaching and learning for all.
Dayna has extensive experience in program management with several government funders including GE, FDA, ExxonMobil, NASA, and NOAA.
Dayna served more than five years in the pharmaceutical industry managing continuing medical education programs (CEUs) for Merck, Schering-Plough, and Cardinal Health.
