Dr. Beatriz Joseph serves as the inaugural vice chancellor of Student Success for Dallas College, providing leadership for enrollment management, student success, strategic analytics, student life and engagement, student wellbeing and social supports, athletics, and the Research Institute. Dr. Joseph spearheaded the development and implementation of the “Learner Care” model, a framework for the redesign of student development and support services utilized after the consolidation of seven independently accredited institutions into one. She joined the Dallas College family in July 2019 as president of Mountain View Campus.
Dr. Joseph brings more than 30 years of higher education experience to Dallas College, and her role as a champion for accessible and affordable education for a diverse student population is unparalleled. Throughout her career, she has served as a faculty member, researcher, practitioner, and administrator with progressive responsibilities. In addition to her commitment to student success, she focuses on engaging with community and industry partners, ensuring she supports all stakeholders in achieving their goals.
Prior to joining Dallas College, Dr. Joseph served as vice president of College Services at Palo Alto College in San Antonio. In this position, Joseph was chief administration officer and oversaw an annual budget of more than $30 million, as well as $72 million in projects funded by general obligation bonds.
