Dr. Desiree
Zerquera

Coach

Dr. Desiree Zerquera is an assistant professor of higher education and student affairs and organization and leadership in the School of Education at the University of San Francisco and a data coach for Achieving the Dream. In her current role, Dr. Zerquera teaches courses on student success, organizational theory, and assessment.

Dr. Zerquera has worked as a researcher, student affairs practitioner, and higher education administrator in community college and university settings. Her research focuses on how inequalities structure the experiences of underrepresented students in accessing and succeeding in higher education. Within this agenda, she focuses in particular on the merging of social justice within assessment work. She is co-editor of the forthcoming issue of New Directions in Institutional Research, Assessment and Social Justice: Pushing Through Paradox.
