Dr. Laurie Fladd is the director of holistic student supports at Achieving the Dream. In this role, Dr. Fladd is responsible for the strategic leadership and implementation of ATD’s services related to holistic student supports, advising redesign, and transformative institutional change. This role also involves assisting colleges in improving the student experience through the intentional development of scalable comprehensive support services.
Prior to joining ATD, Dr. Fladd spent her career as a practitioner in the community college serving in science and mathematics as an adjunct instructor, full-time instructor, department head, and associate dean. Other roles include the co-chair of the General Education Committee, a member of the SACSCOC evaluator team, and chair of the Advising Task Force for TTC’s Pathways work. Finally, she served Trident Technical College as the director of academic advising and the project director of the iPASS grant. As project director Dr. Fladd and her team worked across academic affairs and student services to transform the student onboarding and advising experience.
