How has education changed your life/your family?
Higher education has changed my life immensely. I was the first in my household to attend and graduate from college. Earning my degree did come with some struggles. Early on during my academic journey, I would have benefited from more holistic supports. Once I took time off and rethought my path, I was able to reengage as a focused student. I am appreciative of my village for supporting me during my quest to earn a degree. The type of support I received is why I aim to help all students, especially those from minoritized and traditionally underserved backgrounds, succeed.
