How has education changed your life/your family?
As someone who was repeatedly told, “You are not very smart” and “You will never make it,” I broke through the barriers and the stereotypes to achieve an education in science, a Ph.D., and now a leadership role at a community college. I strive to build bridges and help others find their voice and path to education and leadership so they may create brighter futures for themselves and their families.
