Dr. R. Eileen Baccus is the president emeritus of Northwestern Connecticut Community College and coach for Achieving the Dream. As an ATD coach, Dr. Baccus consults for eight community colleges and two universities from Vermont to California to help improve their student retention and graduation rates, particularly for low-income students and students of color.
Dr. Baccus has served on numerous boards in higher education, arts organizations, and banking. Among those were several terms on the boards of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and the Council on Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL). She is a founding board member of the Amistad Center for Art and Culture at the Wadsworth Atheneum, Hartford, CT.
Dr. Baccus also served on the board of the former CT Savings and Loan Association, Hartford, CT.
