Dr. Terri Manning is the former chief executive officer of the Center for Applied Research (CFAR) and associate vice president of information technology and research services at Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) in Charlotte, NC. She retired in April 2018.
Dr. Manning has a doctorate in higher education from Oklahoma State University and spent 10 years as graduate faculty where she taught research methods, assessment, program evaluation, a variety of health promotion courses, and served as the departmental thesis advisor. She came to CPCC in 1998 and opened CFAR in 2004 where she and her staff conducted applied research and program evaluation and provided institutional solutions for data analysis and institutional effectiveness. Dr. Manning also hosted 10 Annual Institutes on Best Practices in Institutional Effectiveness. She has coached 30 colleges in 19 states with Achieving the Dream over the last 16 years. She is a speaker/trainer on multiple student success and accreditation topics.
