Tom Prendergast has nearly 20 years of employment at three-time ATD Leader College of Distinction, holding positions including senior leadership roles for institutional research, student services, and grantsmanship. He can connect data with policy and practice in a variety of areas, including labor market data and college/program finances. Ohio has 100% performance-based funding, and Tom has helped represent the community college voice on a statewide policy consultation workgroup for several years. He loves collaborating with colleagues to advance knowledge and has served as president of affinity groups for both chief student affairs and institutional research officers for Ohio’s community colleges. Likewise, he has nearly 10 years of experience with the Ohio Association of Community Colleges as a consultant and data coach.

Education remains the great equalizer. My mother was a first-gen adult student who completed her bachelor’s with four children. My wife is a first-gen two-time community college graduate. And I have the honor of working on my doctorate at the same time as my daughter. I hope to have her hood me!
