As chief of staff, Khalisa Jacobs holds strategic and operational responsibility for project managing key intiatives and operational priorities as well as raising funds to support the sustainability of the organization.
Khalisa has more than 20 years of experience as a fundraising professional establishing deep relationships with funders, partner organizations, and government agencies committed to the improvement of the higher education system. She has worked with international and youth development organizations, most recently as the senior director of development for Break the Cycle, a youth intervention and prevention domestic violence non-profit. Prior to this time she worked in a variety of capacities in development teams at four-year universities including the University of Virginia, Georgetown University, and the University of Florida. Her work has come full circle by returning to the education sector.
