As executive director of holistic student supports and workforce alignment, Paula Talley is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of market-driven services, supports, and programs to include, coaching service line incubation, specialized consulting projects, professional development workshops, state and college systems institutes, regional and national learning event content and delivery and will serve as a senior consultant and thought leader representing the organization at conferences, partner workgroups, and other external facing engagements.
Prior to her appointment with ATD, Paula worked as the manager for professional learning and higher education with the Charles A. Dana Center at the University of Texas at Austin. In this role, she was responsible for providing faculty, staff, administrators, and policy representatives with the resources, tools, and services necessary to implement high quality pathways with special emphasis on gateway and corequisite education reform to facilitate systemic change at scale to promote student economic and social mobility. Prior to joining the Dana Center, Paula held roles as division director and mathematics professor at Temple College where she oversaw a division consisting of developmental mathematics and English, first year experience, tutoring services, Trio, adult education and literacy, and ESL.
